Just a short walk from Burtonwood is the Community Woodland of Wheatacre. With trees and meadows, paths and wildlife, there is a great deal to see, especially as the woodland develops and matures. It was planted in 2003 by the Forestry Commission and is an excellent location for some off-road cycling or horse riding. Wheatacre is part of Bold Forest Park. Trees at Wheatacre can be dedicated to loved ones through the Dedicate a Tree scheme. Click here for more information. Visited this woodland? Let us know what you think!
